BEATS & COLORS OF DINAGYANG
The Dinagyang is a religious and cultural festival in Iloilo City, Philippines held on the fourth Sunday of January. it is the most celebrated festival next to Sinulog festival which is also held in January.
“Sadsad” is a form of religious devotion where devotees dance, while carrying images of Sto. Niño and pray as they offer their intentions. In the modern day, many competitions are being held to showcase the creativity of their community and devotion to Sto. Niño.
Different tribes participate in this competition with beautiful and colorful costumes, and beating drums that make you dance along.
